My journey to becoming a nutritionist

Welcome to my blog about all things nutrition, health and more.

In January of 2024, I began a year long holistic nutrition consultant program. I am deeply passionate about what I am learning in school so I decided I want to share my journey and what I am learning with you.

A little bit about what led me here…in 2020 I started a small business as a florist which took me all over Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Being surrounded by flowers and plants strengthened my passion for horticulture. Then in 2022, I worked for a beautiful plant nursery in East Los Angeles which taught me so much about medicinal herbs, growing our own fruit trees, planting vegetable seedlings, to the importance of quality soil. I realized from everything that I learned with my team at the nursery, that I wanted to continue down this path. But, I didn’t know what the path entailed. How could I help give plants a greater voice? How can I share how much they heal the body, mind and spirit?

I knew I needed more experience. It wasn’t until the end of 2023, that I decided to go back to school for nutrition. I could apply everything I learned from being a florist and working at the nursery to being a nutritionist. Everything we eat and drink comes mostly from plants. Herbs, vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, leafy greens…all come from plants. I had my aha moment! This was what I wanted to do. This would help me give the plants their voice and help heal.
